Dawn Leigh ││││ Biography
Topeka, KS ▪ b. 1967 – San Francisco, CA
Dawn Leigh is a bona-fide student of life; she is a self-taught contemporary artist. She has her Bachelors of Business Administration from National University. Prior to earning her BBA, she studied at San Diego State University and MiraCosta College. Although she is a talented entrepreneur, her passion has always been fuelled by creating fine art.
In 2013, Leigh took the leap and starting showing her works in the San Francisco Bay Area. Where her work was featured in Island Art: Espress Yourself in The Alamedan for Espressions and More at Spritzer’s in Alameda, Ca. In 2014, Leigh showed her collection Wine, Women and Song at Etcetera in San Francisco, Ca. In 2015, she was one of the artists featured in Pancakes and Boozes in 111 Minna Gallery and RAW: Exposure SF at Ruby Skye; along with being awarded by the jury of Hidden Gems of the Tenderloin: Artistic Gem with participated in a group show at Space 236, San Francisco. Recently, she was part of the group show at Space 236: The Balance. In the fall of 2016, Dawn will be one of 14 Bay Area artist showcased at McRoskey Mattress for San Francisco’s Open Studios by ArtSpan.
Dawn Leigh enjoys being part of the diverse San Francisco Bay Area community. In 2012 she moved to the Bay Area to explore the Urban Lifestyle and culture of San Francisco. Prior to move in 2012 Leigh had lived in North Coastal San Diego County for over 40 years.
